INFORMATION FOR INVESTORS

For investor, read too: entrepreneur, manufacturer, or venture-capitalist.

The idea behind this site is to bring together inventors and investors by using a directory of topics where the inventor can position his details and, if he has patent protection, details of his invention.

Therefore, this directory enables investors interested in particular topics, to explore various possibilities (subject to signing the Confidentiality Agreement where required).

Furthermore, the invention may be at an early enough stage in the patenting process, for it to be extended internationally – something the inventor may be unable to afford alone, so here the liaison with the investor becomes important for the life of the invention.

At the same time, inventors with patent protection are able to advertise their wares, showing them in just sufficient detail on this website to enable an entrepreneur to make a choice and contact the inventor in order to come to an arrangement.

Additionally, inventors with a full patent granted may not have the means or the time to hunt for support, though drained by the costs of annual renewal. Here too this site offers benefits all round.

Do bear in mind that as time passes, some short pages will extend to full pages, some entries will terminate and new ones will appear

It is the responsibility of investors to satisfy themselves as to the bona-fides of inventors and their inventions. Eseli accepts no liability.

In the UK and most other jurisdictions under current law no disclosure of the invention should take place before the patent application is made unless a confidentiality agreement is signed by the person or legal entity to whom the invention is disclosed, in advance. In some countries a “grace period” is permitted allowing disclosure before filing, but that although permissible in some states, jeopardises protection abroad. Seek advice from a qualified patent agent on the laws relevant in your own jurisdiction.

Now browse the Directory to see what is available.
